Dog Wedding Style Ideas

I love dogs, and I love couples having their dog at their wedding. Because I am a dog-friendly wedding photographer, I recently organised a styled wedding shoot with a lot of cute dogs in some great wedding outfits! It was a crazy, fun, hectic day and I loved every minute of it!

We were lucky enough to have some gorgeous pups model some amazing dog wedding accessories from small businesses across the UK. I put together this collection of wedding attire ideas for those of you who want to make your dogs a part of your day. Rather than giving them outfits that will be too restrictive or hot on the day, one of these custom collars or leads would be just as good and you can get them to match the rest of your wedding party.

So here it is, a style guide for dogs at weddings - all your dapper dachshunds, regal beagles, chic chihuahuas, posh pugs, classy cockapoos, jazzy jack russells and snazzy schnauzers!

Cupid Collars

Dog wedding flower collars.

Working within weddings and events was where Jodie first noticed a growing trend for pets but particularly dogs at weddings. Pups and pooches as ring bearers, best man or even maid of honour! As a huge dog lover she thought this was a great area to explore and after several trial runs and some product testing by her own furry family, Cupid Collars was born.

Cupid Collars are handmade using high quality silk and foam flowers with luxury satin ribbons. All collars have discreet velcro fastenings that attach to your dog’s current collar, the collar underneath hidden by beautiful blooms, ribbon and a show stopping bow.

Canines and Confetti

Fast forward a few years and they have evolved into high quality, sophisticated bespoke harnesses. Canines and Confetti was born in 2016 to cater for the growing demand for dog wedding suits.

Wendy's suits have featured in Vogue magazine, Bride, Confetti and Dogs Today and she's currently working on outifts for Netflix!

The Pet Pooch Boutique

Dog wedding accessories

The Pet Pooch Boutique is run by Samantha Robinson, and was started when her little black Toy Poodle Beau Beau came into her life. After becoming quite the dog-accessory connoisseur, always trying to find that perfect collar or jacket, the idea for the Pet Pooch Boutique came along. Samantha now sells a large range of both in-house handmade and well-known branded products at competitive prices. Everything is personally tested by Beau Beau and the newest addition to the PPB family, Izzy, an 18-week-old Toy Poodle rescue.

How amazing would these feather bandanas look at a festival themed wedding??
