Want to give Mum something really special this year?

Why not think about investing in a family photoshoot? I am now offering gift vouchers which can be used for the photoshoot itself, or for purchasing prints and albums of your images.

If you're not convinced, here are some reasons I think a family photoshoot for Mother's Day is a great idea.

A mother kisses her baby daughter by the Beaulieu river in the New Forest on a family photoshoot.

Memories last a lifetime...

Unlike those chocolates or that bunch of flowers (no shade on them - they're great gifts, but if its longevity you're after they're just not going to cut it!)

A mother smiles at her son at Corfe Castle on a family photoshoot with Katherine and her Camera.

They're great fun!

A family photoshoot is a brilliant excuse to get out and about doing the things you love with your family. You get dedicated time to spend together, making those memories - and you get them captured to keep forever! Win win!

Get Mum in those photos.

I don't know if this is true for everyone, but in lots of families its usually Mum who takes the photos, meaning she's hardly in any of them. Just think about how special it will be in years to come when you can look back on photos of all the family together, where no one is missing because they are behind the camera (or having to squeeze into a selfie).

Speaking of selfies...

If these are the photos you usually take together as a family (I know we do) then they are always posed. Having a professional with you while you have some family fun means you get those natural, candid moments too. For me, those are the ones where the magic really happens.

They're for all ages.

Yes, a lot of the time family photoshoots involve young children - which is always a great idea as your little ones change so much as they grow up - but a Mother's Day photoshoot can still be a brilliant present for your mum even if you don't have kids in the family. Or why not get Grandma involved too?

If you want to know more about a family photoshoot with me or buy a Mother's Day gift voucher have a look at my Family Photography page and then drop me a message and we can have a chat.

And just for funsies, here's the last photo I've got of me and my family together :)
