An intimate February wedding with a focus on family.

I feel so very lucky to have been asked to photograph Claire and Ed’s intimate 10 Castle Street wedding in February. It was a wonderful day with just their close family attending. I have known Claire since we were at university together so I was thrilled to be able to spend their day with them and capture it all on camera.

Claire and Ed are genuinely the most adorable couple. I have never known two people so glaringly obviously meant to be together – they are two awesome peas in a bloody brilliant pod! I hope I’ve managed to capture some of the fun they have together and their love for each other.

I started off the day at Claire’s parents’ house while she got ready with her family around her. It was such a relaxed morning; we had fun taking some portraits and Claire looked stunning in her gorgeous navy and silver dress. Her brother even got a bit emotional!

Then, I tootled over to Salisbury Registry Office to meet Ed and his family before the ‘I dos’. Ed looked very dapper in his navy suit and burgundy tie.

The ceremony was short but sweet with lots of smiles and love. After a confetti shot outside, everyone drove across the border into Dorset to the stunning 10 Castle Street in Cranborne.

An amazing country house with quirky decor and beautiful landscaped gardens it really was a great spot for Claire and Ed to celebrate their marriage. While their guests sipped personalised cocktails, we nipped out into the gardens for their couple photos. I had so much fun doing this with Claire and Ed! As well as some light direction from me, Claire had plenty of her own ideas for photos she wanted, despite the look of confusion on Ed’s face for some of them!

After the family shots, everyone went inside to enjoy a rather scrummy-looking afternoon tea and Claire’s Dad gave a lovely speech which had everyone laughing!

A quick chance for a few more photos with Claire and Ed in the stunning yellow wallpapered dining room and I left them to enjoy the rest of their evening. Claire’s brother had organised a quiz – I never did find out who won….

Anyway, here’s Claire and Ed’s day, through my lens…
